Ok, I have a 93 Z24. I put my car away for the winter and just pulled it out be it we finally got good weather. the car is bogging real bad, not missing, bogging. I have replaced the plugs, wires, coil packs, and ECM and it still bogs. I put a can of sea foam cleaner in the tank to see if that would help it out and it didn't. This is my plea for help. If anyone has any idea or has had this happen to them please let me know what it could be.
Thanks,
Nick
checked the cat to see if it's plugged?
watch for flying sparks!!!
Have you tried your air filter?
yeah cat would be my first guess, or I've seen them blow the fuel pressure regulator and run super rich at idle and have no power at all, but check the cat first cause you have to take apart a good chunk of the motor to changeteh fuel pressure regulator
water in the gas? Dead animal stuck in the muffler? (seen that before.. lol)
sounds like a fuel issue.. either water in the gas, clogged fuel filter? try draining the gas and putting in a few gallons of the good stuff.
**changes are here**
The car is straight piped.
Definately old fuel. When my engine died, I had filled the tank the day before...a month later, I got it running again...car ran like crap...ran the tank dry, filled up with fresh gas, and all the life came back...was a good year
bad gas w/out a doubt. dump a can of octane booster into your tank and drive around for a while. when your ready to fill up fresh gas will clear it all up
People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......
Alright thanks guys i'll let you know tomorrow.
Well it ended up being the ignition module. I was getting spark but not enough for when i was giving it gas. Thanks for the advice that everyone left. It was very helpful.
