I keep going into overboost I assume dude to too much boost for the stock computer. I've done some searching and found people talking of MAP bleeds but no real description of how to perform it. If someone could show me somewhere that has some good directions for it that would be much appreciated. tx
Setting up the MAP bleed, to me, is like taking pain killers because you keep working too hard and hurting yourself. Sure the pills let ya keep going, but eventually the damage gets done.
That said, what you're doing with the MAP bleed is to vent any pressure above what the ecm decides is too much. You use a spring loaded valve which opens at the desired pressure to trick the ecm into thinking there's less boost than there really is. Problem is, the ecm doesn't have any clue how much fuel to add or how much to retard the timing.
Here's one form of MAP bleed:

-->Slow
Put a T fitting the the vacume line going to the MAP and put a "granger" valve ont he T fitting where it comes out, and hook up normally to the other sides....
