'92 Cavalier
When I press the AC button, the compressor won't engage (green "activated" light next to AC button does no light).
Fuse is OK, AC recently charged.
Not sure what else to check - bad AC button/contact maybe?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
I had this same issue! I wish I was near my car so I could send you a picture! BUT, on a metal A/C related line towards the front of the car, and towards the passenger side of the car, you should see a cord. If the cord is plugged into this line, try unplugging it, blowing on it, then plugging it back in.
If you don't see a cord, but rather an empty socket, feel around under that area in the engine (where you see the socket) and try to find a cord hanging around! When you find it, plug it in and it should work!
I have a '91 so the minor upgrades that '92 got might have moved things around in the engine, but I doubt it.
Hope this works!
