I just got my pads, rotors, and lines today from the TTR group purchase. I've changed pads and rotors before so thats not a problem for me, but I've never touched the lines before. If you guys can post a step-by-step or how-to, it would be appreciated. I'm just always a little nervous the first time I do something to my cavalier.
15mm "banjo" nut on the caliper side. 12mm nut on the line side.
Try to do it as quickly as possible to avoid draining too much fluid. Do not touch the brake pedal while you're doing this, you could get air in the MC. That's bad news.
Once they're switched out, fill the resevoir, and start bleeding. If you have a vacuum bleeder use it, otherwise grab a buddy. Open the bleeder nut about 1/2 turn, push pedal down and hold, close bleeder, let pedal up, repeat many times. Push the pedal slowly too, works better that way I've found. Don't forget to check the resevoir level ever 10 pumps, if it goes dry you'll get air in the MC.
