Questions about springs
Wednesday, August 23, 2006 7:54 PM
Ok my first question is about my 01 z24 that has eibach pro kit and agx's. When i hit a bump it throws the person in the back seat into the roof, its alot rougher then i thought it would be...is this normal?

The next question i have is about my z24 stock springs......are they different then my 03 4dr springs? The 03 handles like my grandmas buick.

The higher the setting the more violently they throw you. Right now the rears are on 4. when you make them lower they give you a less violent more bouncy ride.

chances are they could be a bit worn....

how large are these bumps you are hitting?

Not too huge, like when I go on a bridge on the highway or over an over pass where the joints are. They cant be more then a year old and they have always been like this but its starting to annoy me a little. kyb replaced one already because it was leaking.

well if you have the time, do this.... you dont need an alignment in the rear.

take em off one side at a time, and push the rods down and them release em..... see how they feel.

are your tires and wheels up to spec? alot of times people do run lower than normal profiles and they transfer more shock to the suspension than need be....

also overall, when you load a car with people in the rear, you arent to be driving fast. stuff is usually rated and designed for a passenger and driver....

any stuff in the trunk such as subs and extra stuff outside the jack and tire....will affect the weight and handling.

if i remember right, 4 is half way right?
