Where can I find this part?
Sunday, August 27, 2006 4:28 PM
I need a brake bleeder screw for the rear brakes on my 04 Cavy. I had to bleed my brakes today and the driver's side bleeder screw was stuck and got chewed up a bit. I called some local parts stores, but no one has it.

Any ideas where i can get one?

Thanks

check out russellperformance.com...their speed bleeders are an excellent upgrade

get Motor-Mite part # 13949, 12702 or 13908 should cure your ills. the first one is a multi-pack with different sizes in it, and they have built in check valves as well. if someone can verify if the front and rear screws are the same then its a done deal.

they are different thread sizes....

95-04 Cavalier Disc/Drum = 639580/639520

those are the part numbers for the russel perfomance speed bleeders.

also if your screws are chewed up to where they arent working, you probably have some cross threading going. might wanna either replace the whole part if need be, or in the least make sure the threads are cleaned out.

lol, figures

I was surprised to find the bleeder screws for Chrysler in the same box as Chevy stuff. I guess it stands to reason that the rear Chevy screws wouldn't be in there.

IIRC my fronts required a 10mm and the rears a 7 or 8mm. Stupid GM.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.
