Currently I have H&R springs on AGX struts, while at an autocross the ride is great, going up to my new townhouse and down into frederick is slowly but surely taking its toll on my nerves and eventually on my spine, I also believe part of the problem is that the AGX's are not valved correctly for the stifness of the H&R's
Does anyone have a reccomendation for a nice spring? The best I could say is something similar to what TRD springs accomplish my friend has them on his tc, they give nice handling, but none of the harshness associated with a true racing spring.
Currently I'm leaning towards the Tein H.Techs or the eibach Pro-kit.
Any opinions from people who have tried these springs before?

Tein H-Techs here.
No regrets whatsoever.
Great ride while still being drivable for everyday.

well if you get new springs i bet its still gonna feel the same. your struts are probably taken a turn for the worse. just upgrade your struts.
Nothing wrong with the struts, if I increase the stiffness the ride still firms up. The ride is fine as long as the road is decently smooth.
If the struts were shot I'd know it everytime I autocrossed the car.

well to me it still sounds like they are going though. i mean you have to be on smooth road for it to ride smooth
Sorry, I should clarify that, on bumpy crappy roads such as in downtown frederick, and the road up to my townhouse.
I'll see how it goes with the H-techs that Goodrwrench reccomended, if I still have a problem I'll look at upgrading to Konis or the Tein kit. I'm still not certain how much longer I'll have this car so I don't want to dump too much cash into it.

pro-kit!
h-techs are not much firmer than stock IIRC. Coulf be way off on that one though
Tien H or Prokit would be my suggestion. They both have lower spring rates than the H&R, and thus shouldn't need as high of setting on the struts to control them. With the lower spring rate, and lower rebound rate on the AGX it should yield a smoother ride for daily duties.
Prokit and AGX here... I prefer to drive my cav over the PT cruiser because the suspension sucks on that boat. I've been tempted to do the same setup on the cruiser because of how much i love the ride.
I've got AGX's and the Prokit and the ride is ok, much better then the ebay coilovers i had before, but still a little rougher then i like. It seems like the higher i adjust the AGX's the more violent the big bounces are and the lower i adjust the crappier the ride.
I know exactly what you mean. The H&R's are a very stiff ride on the AGX's. I would be inclined to go with Eibach Pro-Kit's if you have the money or Tein H-tech's if things are tight.
I've secured a Pro-kit from someone parting out there car I'll let you know how it goes.
