Recently with the colder weather I've begun noticing that my front passenger strut is squeaking like crazy over uneven road surfaces.. I've got Tein H-Tech springs on KYB AGX struts. This is the first time the suspension has seen cold weather... Besides the loud squeaking, the strut appears to be fine and the ride quality has not degraded at all. The other 3 struts seem to be ok and are not squeaking. Is this noise normal, or the prelude to a problem? Any suggestions to fix this, or will is it likely to work itself out?
I'd check to make sure the spring is seated properly on the strut. I can't see the struts being bad already, but the strut mounts might.
mine make that noise when they go bad....sorry to say
I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
struts bounce when they go bad. check your mounts, im about 90% sure thats what it is
Thanks for the replies guys. It seems to have stopped squeaking as suddenly as it started... weird... but i'm not complaining, as long as it doesnt do it again, lol. I'll keep an eye on it and if it does it again maybe I'll work on it this winter.
does it sound like its coming from the top of the struts? like in the tower part?
I had some squeeking with my ground controls.. A little white lithium did wonders

Honestly I'm not sure, I didn't bother to find out, I just heard it as I went over uneven road surfaces, I THINK it was the top of the strut, but I can't be sure. If it starts doing it again I'll put more effort into finding the problem and fixing it.
