Has anyone done the wellwood break kit...front ..and has anyone done a rear break kit...from droms to disc...if so...how much work is involved and is it worth it?

please search

plenty of people have done the wilwood brake kit. wilwood only makes fronts though. baer makes a rear disc brake or you can do the neon swap (see sticky at top of forum)

ok then do it. baer also makes a front kit too. either way your looking to spend about 1600-1800 brand new just on the brakes. its worth it but its expensive.

seriously you have some of the worse grammar i have seen on this site. you only need 1 period to end a sentence not ...... to start your next one.

haha Im use to chatting on mirc when i was growing up. I just type like that all the time. Dont mean to, just somthing that i always do. Cant help it. Even drives me nuts. hahahaha

It's easier to put one period than it is multiple ones.

As for the break kit. If you have all this money to throw around, spend it on something worthwhile. But if you must, I'd go all Baer. If Wilwood made the rears, then Wilwood. But since they don't, I wouldn't like to mix things up; but that is me.

And I met some guys from Alberta in Mexico. Worked on the oil rigs. Guys brought around 20 large just to spend in Mexico. Yup, we had lots of fun with them.

Thats where i work. Up north in Alberta, a place called Fort Mcmurray. Big money up there. Im make Just over $42 and hr. And I have only been in my trade under 5 years. 23years old. There is so much oil there its out of control. 2nd Largest oil deposite in the world. (may be the biggest, there finding more an more an more every year) Pritty cool stuff up there.

Now back tp the breaks. I think ill do the baer like you said to stay with one brand.

Thanks for the input guys. and I also done what you guys said and im taking off the coil overs an i got the Eiback Pro kit coming now.

I should of found this forum sooner then i would have been able to get more work done then what i have.

I don't know why you guys are telling him to get a "real" car. I love my J, and have had plenty of money to get a different car if I wanted. What's wrong with liking a particular car and wanting to modify it??

because allot of us realise that the car is a low budget econemy car and even with parts it wont be much more then that.

yea, while i enjoyed modding my j and meeting a bunch of others, its not really worth (to me anymore). i love modding but i hate the affects of it (ie, cops following you, jealous people vandalizing, other immature tuners,etc...) If he likes he thats good for him but if i made that much money, id be driving a nice luxury car

That depends on how much effort you're willing to put into them. CTS and Lenko should have cars rivaling most new 'performance' cars when they're done.

There is nothing wrong with spending money on a stock looking Jbody with a real fast motor underneath of it

I don't see many BOLT ON mods for the DTS or Town Car that can double or triple the performance. Just because I was looking for a nice used CTS for my daily driver doesn't mean I'm not keeping the LSS for my tinkering. If you're of the opinion of "what's the point?", I think you're on the wrong website.
