ok, just installed the D-specs and Sportlines (sweet!!!) and i just set them at the "starting" position ( 5 turns from full hard) and was wondering what settings you guys are using? it rides nice now, but i was just curious what you guys thought...
i also do not recommend doing suspension on two cars one after the other in the same day - first install was agx's w/pro kit & then the d-specs w/sportlines. the d-spec install was a little easier since we didn't have any problems with the shafts spinning on them like the agx's - but both made for a great install.
it's alignment time!!!
thanks in advance - donnie
I ride 2 in the front and 2 in the rear from full hard.
I'm on Goldlines though.

Sportlines are junk, sell them

Why? I would like to know why you think that.

Because he got
these and realized how bad sportlines really are. Read that post for more info.

Why not? It wasn't
that bad. Of course, it would have been easier had our 4th helper not passed out on us

cause I have/had Sportlines (had on the car now have sitting in a box) they suck, they look nice but ride liek @!#$
well thank you, that helps me with my setting question for the d-specs now doesn't it
thans for the 411 freq, now back to the question please.

the reason I comented is I knwo a guy who had springs with the yellows, and he couldn't get them adjusted to feel right, when I have the sportlines I could never adjust the konis to make them feel right.... it ended up being because those springs suck, nothign to do with shock adjustment everythign to do with overly bouncy springs
oh and if it makes a difference I ride full loose on all 4 corners for daily driving, auto X I stiffen up the front about 1/2 way and the rear almost full firm, for drag full firm in the back, just short of full loose in the front. thats with Konis but it may help
I had sportlines, loved them, never had an issue running the settings.
Try a stagger on the setting. i ran 4 in front 3 in back so that it would add a little oversteer to the car (during the summer), and then reversed that in the winter (something about a car that is FWD and oversteers in ice is a bad thing).
i ran D-specs and sportlines and ran them for about 75K miles, and loved them....
thanks...
anyone else? just looking for different settings to try, i keep changing them and trying it out for the day...it's interesting to drive with the different settings thats fo sho...

My two cents.
I use mine for daily driving so I preffer a nice ride. I set them 7.25 turns from full hard meaning they are almost full soft. I love the ride and even that soft setting the car handles better than stock. When I go to a heavy courved road through the mountains I set them to 5 or 6 turns from full hard and It handles awesome cornering but it transfer more road feeling to the driver (me). I always have set them between 5 and 7 turns, never lower than that. I have to tell you also that I have the complete D-Spec System that includes the Tokico lowering springs. Hope this helps

Hate to say it, but with a stiffer spring like the Sportlines, I can't imagine riding full soft on Yellows and expecting no bounce. I'm guessing these Road Magnet springs are a softer spring rate? I imagine they're great and all, but I'm curious to see how competive they'd be with Eibachs in an actual auto-x event. Simply put I'm more interested in the performance than a soft quiet ride.
My buddy James has been on Sportlines/Yellows for 3 years now/110,000 miles (he has over 120,000 on his '03 LS Sport), and his car handles/rides amazingly. He's also done a few auto-x events each season. Though by now he's a pro at adjusting his Yellows to match the road conditions, style of driving, even as to which tire he is running.
Not trying to start a debate, asking questions for the sake of my own knowledge.
right now i'm at 5 turns from stiff in the back and 7 turns from stiff in the front...anyone know exactly how many turns it takes to get to full soft? is it 16? i know they are 16 way adjustable, but i just want to make sure before i start turning them until i hit 16...
thanks - Donnie
NOooooooOOOOOOoooo lol, 7-7.5 turns is the MAX! Don't go past that... and plus, when you're at 7 the car is so floaty anyway, why would you want it to be softer lol...

They consider every half turn a 'setting' per se, so from 0-7 turns, that's 16 'settings'.
