hey everyone, was curious if anyone had pics of the car lowered on either the 1.4" springs or the 1.8". i have heard good things about canuck springs. the 2nd gen guys swear by them so i was curious if the 3rd gen guys had any thoughts about them or experiences.
My buddy has 95 cavalier with canuck lowering coils 1.8 drop looks pretty good, Also its been about 6 months now with them in. No problems yet also he has 17inch aftermarket rims, I would recommend using performance struts with the set up, My buddy tried to cheap out, And use stock struts, They blew in 3 months time, For the price of the coil kit is pretty good deal.
Good Luck.
what would anyone recommend for struts and shocks. i have heard good things about kyb products
I have Canuck Motorsports 1.8" drop, on KYB AGX adjustable shocks/struts...
Cheaped out first and lowered on just springs...not a good idea...bought the shocks/struts and it helped a lot, handling and ride comfort...HOWEVER it is still a very rough ride. I do not know the spring rate variance for them, but they are stiff. They are progressive so it helps, but I am not completely pleased with the setup. I have rearend clunking..all new mounts were installed. I also find it is a bit bouncy...just the in back, the front is perfect never a problem.
As far as handling is concerned, I have no complaints what's so ever, and the fact of the matter that i love the handling makes it worth the ride comfort part and clunking...
My future is really looking at NFW front and IRS rear..I tried e-mailing ground control and koni about getting cavalier fronts and taurus sho rear (fit in n-body)..(for both coilover and strut)
i had 1.8 canucks spring with tokico HP and it was bouncy. i changed my the canucks with eibach pro-kit and the handling is way better.
are the canucks supposed to be wider than oem? I purchased a set off ebay and I dont know if ive been jipped or not.
