OK so since I decided to keep my car for a while now....I'm going to update my suspension in a few weeks. I'm through with my coilovers making my teeth chatter right out of my head and my girlfriend doesn't appreciate it much either.
I'm just thinking of getting some GR2's and some nice subtle springs, probably some Teins or something that aren't too aggressive. I'm looking at Gravana and they say that the GR2's are NOT TO BE USED ON CARS WITH STOCK 16" WHEELS. Does anybody know why this is? is it a rubbing issue or something? Is it anything that could be easily fixed?
My car isn't an LS Sport but it did come with the sport package which includes the 16" wheels. I am also getting new tires if that has anything to do with it. my guess is just that the perch rubs but I figured someone here would know whats up.

only thing i could possibly think of is the tire hitting the perch but i never heard of this. i know plenty of people running those struts. just be aware that those struts are only oem replacements
haha thanks for the quick reply...i actually just searched for this and i see your reply to every thread about them being OE replacements lol. I know they are, but they're a bit more durable. Chris Lannie (Agent Omega) has had them on his sunfire for 5 years on Goldlines and they're still holding up...I figure if I stay right around the 1" mark they should do just fine. I would go back to stock springs but they're boring.
I'll have to see about the 16" wheel thing though, if its just a rubbing issue it can easily be fixed with a decent size fine adjustment tool (read: hammer)

well i can almost bet that his car is now riding on blown struts. there is no way they lasted that long. i would find it hard to believe but hey anything is possible.
yes they are oem replacements but i do think w/ tein h techs (1.1" drop). they would probably be ok. i really wouldnt go any lower than that.
