Hey, i was wondering when i remove my rear brake drums to sprayu them black, is there anything i should know or have to do in order to re install the drums properally; or is it as easy as sliding the drums off and sliding them back on?
I JUST Need to remember to put my centering rings on after the drums; not before; long story and a rear brake job later,lol......

yes simple as that. if you have never had them off before there will be these little locking rings on there but you can take them off. i took mine off and didnt get new ones. but when i did mine, i used a degreaser then washed them off and then painted them.

I would recommend not getting replacements after the old ones are taken off, those little rings can affect the way the wheel mounts against the hub/drum surface and actually cause a very bad vibration.

How do I know? I had a Suburban with 24's come in complaining about a vibration, I balanced all 4, still vibrated... put it back on the lift, lifted it.. started it, put it in 4wd and in gear, the wheels were moving side to side BAD.. took the rings off, wheels mounted up right and there was no vibration.
