Seized Caliper?

Hey all, I think I have a seized caliper, I changed my pads and rotors recently, and couldn't ge tthe piston in the caliper to retreat back in on the passenger side. I tried everything. The drivers side had no problems.

Also, when I'm driving I can hear a chirping/squeaking noise on the passenger side which could be related.

I have also noticed the car seems to pull to the right a bit, and I had an alignment done less then a year ago.

So I've self diagnosed this as a seized caliper piston, but I'm not a mechanic. Does this sound like a correct diagonsis?

Thanks
- Brandon

sounds like it, just replace it and forget it.

If you couldn't push the piston in on the caliper, how the hell did you manage to get the new pads and rotors in there?

It needs replaced either way.

did you try opening the bleeder to see if it was a bad hose instead of a caliper? did you have to much brake fluid in the resivoir?

Having too much fluid in the reservoir will not keep it from pushing in, there is enough force from the fluid that it pushed itself out of the reservoirs cap.

Bad hose is likely as well, might as well replace both of those along with 2 new calipers. I personally think it's better to do things in sets of two.

I can't recommend that enough, people come in the shop all the time and want 1 rotor, and the other one is the original with 75,000 miles on it,
