Im dissapointed in how low the rear is, it looks awkward. Any suggestions on how to raise the rear up a little, spacers or anything? I did install new struts on the front but not the rear. But I am amazed how the car can take some corners now!

uhh.. just because you DID it, doesn't mean the shocks are handling the drop. the spring rate on any lowering spring is WAY above the valve rate of our stock shocks (hell, our stock springs are really close to too much for our stock dampers as it is.) add that to the fact that your struts were probably already worn out, you now have a rather unsafe car. as for the way its sitting, did you put the springs on the right way up?

Aniceto Gomez springs, and I'm not kidding. Company out of Argentina.
How is it unsafe. It rides great to me and the shocks are now where near bottoming out. The rear shocks are prob done for. Im not bout to pay 500 for some aftermarket struts for my cavalier lol. Car is not worth 4x that amount.

Unsafe as the strut isn't valved for the spring rate and the car bounces because it doesn't have enough rebound and compression dampening. It's blown completely out of proportion on this board though. I mean if you're going around a corner exceeding the posted speed limit to begin with and hit some rough road, then yeah the car is going to get a little hard to handle. I'm in my mid thirties and when cars became popular to lower there were no springs or aftermarket struts. I drove several cars before with 1 1/2 to 2 rounds cut off the springs on stock struts and never bounced off the road. I'd never recommend it now as there are suspension products sold to do it right.
In actuality knowing the spring rate is more important than knowing the drop. A 1.5" lowering spring with similar spring rates as oem springs could be used on oem replacement struts as it wouldn't have any problems dampening the spring. Bottoming out might become an issue since suspension travel has been reduced, and most lowering springs have a higher spring rate to begin with so it's a moot point.
