Gravana Coils to low

Well i have an 04 ls sport. I now have gravana coilovers with OEM solid mounts. I was checking my front wheel today and noticed that there was grease all over the splash sheild. So noticed that i need to replace my cv boot. Big deal. Then i noticed that the axle has been rubbing up against the motor(and i mean the long passanger axle)., and made a nice curve on the block. Nothing is leaking. Have any of you guys had this issue, or know about this issue? Im not slammed But it is dropped. What sucks is that this axle is just one long peice so im noticing i might have to raise it. This is just to give you guys the heads up and if any of you guys had this issue tell me about it.

To me, if your half shaft is touching the block you ARE slammed, or your car was in a major accident before you got it.

if axles are on an upward arc like that, you're TOO low.

If that pic in your sig is any indication...

You're almost tucking factory wheels/tires...

That means you're at OEM height - 4 inches or better?

I think that counts as "slammed"

But on that note, I have worked on a car that was nearly that low and didn't see any evidence of the symptoms you are describing (although it was an '01 Z24 5 speed, not an ecotec)

Adjust the coils higher, ~2" down from stock spec is about optimum for handling (makes the control arms parallel to the ground), and you can still clear typical crappy roads without bottoming.

Sleeper style, they don't see it coming that way.

Im just thinking my ex who was a fat ass is the reason why. I just never felt anything abnormal. But Im going to replace the axle because of the boot, and take note if a see any wear on this axle. Im just used to tuckin hondas. Guess you cant do that with these................bastards........................I cant do nothing in this house!!!

different cars have different suspensions and geometry.

you can't tuck a jbody and expect to drive it

Hmm, i ride with my bags all the way down in the front quite often and my axle has never hit the block. Same with my buddy who has a eco in his. Might want to look and see if anything else is causing the problem. But damn that's low for not having air, looks damn good!

I've completely dumped my ground controls and didn't touch like that.

i'm pretty low on my gravanas, and have no issues...you sir might want to check into other issues as well, like see if the axle is broken or bent, and see if anything else on that side of the car is bent...accident before u owned it maybe, or maybe the fatty (you said it first)riding shotgun all that time caused some issues...

Nah, that was just Canuck springs and GR2's, nothing insane.

I used to have Ground Control's and Koni's and loved it-

I had Tein's Basics after those.

Gravana's on my last car-

LOL

yeah im thinking its my engine mounts. i noticed my top mount is sluggish. but i have no vibrations. So thats why i haven't considered the mounts being the culprit. i just replaced my axle noticed it was still rubbing. not always, im assuming with bumps. so im thinking of getting some rk mounts or something.... geez.
