Alero Rear Perches the same?!?!

Are the Alero Rear Shocks the same as the Cavalier ones... I mean the Spring perches anyways
I have a rear subframe assembly from an Alero for wanting to do an
IRS swap but I never did the install (at least not yet)

When i got the cavalier it had aftermarket ones...
So the perches are welded meaning I cannot
pound them off with a dead blow to use with my Koni's....

They look the same... What do you guys think?

N-body and J-Body spring perches on the struts and mounts are different, but as far as I know, the upper mounts for the N-body struts should just bolt into the stock J-Body location.

I have actually read through the whole I.R.S. thread and there was talk about it and mention of there being a difference between them.

Here's even a look at the stock rear springs between an '03 Cav and '03 GA

The best way to do it is to get a set of matching springs (same brand and series) for the N-body, and use those rears. Koni makes an insert for the N-body, but it's listed for an SHO Taurus. Somewhere in the IRS thread, I believe the part number is posted. I have it in one of my files somewhere as well, but I can't seem to put my hands on it.

If you have N-body shocks, and they look just like your J-body ones, they are for a pre-99 N-body, which has a twist-beam rear end just like the J-body.
