I have searched the forum for two days now and have not found a solution for the sympton my car is experiencing. There are threads that pertain to my exact situation but no resolution was posted.
While turning left at any speed there is a massive clunk that I can feel in the car. The sound appears to be coming from the front driver side area. The clunk goes faster and faster at speed. So whatever speed you are going so does the clunk turning left. The car drives fine straight and when turning right. I have already replaced the wheel hub/bearings on both sides about a year ago. Replaced the driver side CV halfshaft yesterday and same clunk. Motor mounts appear to be fine. Strut appears to be fine. Suspension pieces appear to be fine. Transmission shifts fine.
Yesterday when I tested on jack stands with the new CV halfshaft in the clunk still happened. Was underneath the car checking to find the clunk but everything appeared to be fine. No moving parts hitting or banging anything and with the car in the air on jackstands the suspension wasnt loaded. Today I removed the CV halfshaft on the driver side, started the car, placed in gear and turned left on jack stands, of course. No clunk.
I am at wits end and dont even know what parts to throw at it. Any further suggestions are appreciated
This should be in Suspension section.
Stabilizer bar shaft may be out of spec. Get new ones, they're like $10 dollars each (x2).

Bad struts could also be your problem. Just did mine this week and the difference is like night and day, I'm at 60k on my cav, and chances are you've got at least one blown strut (I had 2). They make your stock struts to blow prematurely
i'm at 120k on stock struts. it's like riding on rocks at all times.
I would replace struts AND strut mounts. At least the front if not all 4. It is recommended to replace stock struts around 50k.

Luckyyy. Mine were literally pissing hydrolic fluid once they came off, and this was around 60k.
What about passenger side halfshaft? If you have a 2.4 u can swap sides they are identical.. Sounds for sure like a halfshaft or strut mount, if it does it on jackstands though it kind of rids the strut mounts since there not compressed anyway

i've got 160,000kms on my rear struts with lowering springs, my rear end is like a clunky pogo stick lol.
2002 2200sfi 5-speed.
I am running 232,856 kms on my stock struts. I need to replace em soon. Ive got cluck in my suspension. I am pretty sure its the struts and mounts.
