Are the bushings in the rear strut mount a larger diameter on the older J bodies like around the 98 year than a newer J like 04. I have an 04 and when i was trying to drill the bushing bigger the one side got to hot and melted the rubber and pulled the bushing out. I put two big washers around it but they finally gave out also and so now im gonna fix it the right way but if i can get and older one and not have to try and drill it out that would be great. Thanks for your help.
