I used Gabriel strutmounts in the rears when I installed my Prostreets and a year later the rod from the strut broke through the cheap rubber mounts and started hitting the metal on the inside of my trunk as I drove over any bumps.

I didn't know what happened...all of a sudden I get this huge loud metal clanking from the trunk and when I got home and looked inside the trunk I saw the strut rod sitting about 3 inches higher then it should be.

I compared the mount to my stock mount and saw that the stock mount has a metal plate which would have prevented this.

Anyway....stay away from Gabriel Strut mounts...well at least the rear ones anyway...cant say anything about the front mounts from Gabriel since I'm not using them.

I just hope my strut wasn't damaged!!
