ok I am looking at it seriously finally what are some things I need to know to go with it I know see Jason at a plus he has already gave me a quote.
as far as install I am having a guy do it who has done it be for but I am helping with every thing what might I need to know there.
upkeep is there anything I need to do to keep it running properly?
do I need to keep any extra parts with me in case of problems?
also what can i expect when the temp is cold or hot any difference?
also what setting do u sugjest for driving reguraly and what pressure
finally and advise or tips u would advise me or any extra parts to start with I have an 03 with 17'' wheels pic below
I would say the best thing to have with you at all times is fittings, air lines, wrenches, side cutters, teflon tape, couple valves.
Hot and cold isn''t too bad of an issue. Make sure you have a water trap and drain it when needed. Clean your tank out before you install everything. Before you start slamming the car up and down make sure the wheel wells won't rub on your tires at all. Thats about it that I can think of. I am sure someone will add something. where will I get extra valves, fittings and air lines? does it come with a water trap or will i need to go out and get one? and clean my tank u mean just blow it out?
The kit does not come with a water trap. Talk to Jason at Aplus and he can get you those fittings, lines, valves etc. I never had my valve fail, but I guess it's better to be safe then sorry...
As for your tank, I would rinse it out with water and let it dry. It will remove some most of the powdery residue from the inside and make it cleaner when you are emptying the water from it. One valve froze this winter because I didn't empty my tank often enough and tried to adjust ride hieght when it was -35 degrees celsius out... (very dumb of me)
Also, make sure to wrap the teflon the correct way. Do not overtighten the fittings. Don't overtighten the loc nuts, but don't undertighten them. Don't use anything less than a 10 ga wire to wire your compressors (they will melt).
Keep any tool you used to install it in your car. AND DO NOT sell your stock suspension... because you may one day have to swap it back incase of an emergency.

water traps can be found at any hardware store. they go between the compressor and pressure switch. as for the settings its up to you. the struts have 8 way damping so you can set it to what you like. as for extra parts, ive had mine on for a year now and i never carried around extra parts w/ me. i only had a problem w/ one fitting since i had the kit.
ok well I ordered the kit with the 10 switch box this morning from jason he said it should be shipped early nex week is hooking it up with the 10 switch box any different then the instuctions say?
also how hard is it to change the dampining once u have it instaled? what do u all run urs at?
and is there a like a presure to '' drop ratio how close to stock will i be all they way up and what pressure do u all drive at i want liek a 1.50 to a 2.00 for regular driving what pressure would that be?
It should be pretty str8 forward to install with the 10 switchbox.
Dampening can be changed easily by reaching through your wheels spokes or around the back or front of the tire. Very simple.
Pressure to drive at would be around 40 psi infront and 60 psi in rear. This is will about 2.5 inches lowered in the back and 2 inches in the front as compared to stock. (this all depends on how much weight you are carrying ofcourse)
They will be about 0.5 - 1" lower in the front and 2" lower in the back as compared to stock when you have it at MAX psi possible.

its all trail and error. we cant give you a psi to ride at. we can give you a ball park but you just have to test it out when you get it. for me im at 40-45 in the front and 50 in the rear and it works perfect for me. i have the rears set at 4 clicks from the right and the fronts 1 click from the right. switch box is pretty much easy, just match the color wires to the valve that controls what it says, then ground all the valves.

Look up the post in the photo's and media forum... it's zeetwankyfo he has an excellent setup in his trunk and it will give you an idea of what to do to your own! And I've found that some extra fittings and alike 10 feet of extra air line isn't a bad thing to have with you... also just some basic tools... cause you never know!
A water trap between compressor and tank WILL NOT stop condensation in the tank. It will collect plenty and fool you into thinking your tank is dry.
Make sure you have a way to easily drain the tank without having to remove it. ANd its not a bad idea to have a water trap between the tank and valves. But many of you like putting the valves right on the tank so it makes that hard.
I personaly dont use any water traps. I found them pointless as they didnt stop all condensation. I have one small manual valve on the bottom that I drain about every other day and everything has been working fine.

ive been running my trap between the tank and compressor for over a year now. its always full and everytime i go to drain the tank, i dont have any water in mine
where can I get a trap at? home depot lowes? and what size do I need? and what happons if water does get in?
ESB gonna have to disagree, I've run water traps on both my compressors since I installed it and haven't had a single drop of water come out when I drain the tank every month.

i got mine at home depot for 30 bucks. you'll see what it is when you pick one up. basically you just put it between the compressor and tank and it catches most of the water that comes out of the compressor that may get into the tank or valves. you can see when it has water in it since they are clear and there is a little knob on the bottom. just loosen it to drain the water.
is this the same thing as the water trap on a compressure in a garage? and how often should I drain the tank?
depends on your useage.... if you are using them constantly, and the weather gets humid, then dry, then wet, then humid etc... you will need to drain it more often. Once a week would be ideal. But definately every 2-3 weeks.

Well maybe I was ussing @!#$ty traps. Or maybe it has alot to do with my highly humid location here in the south. Most people I know dont use traps because they simply wernt working for them.
