i looked in the sticky and its says all of them i want to drop my car pretty hard and i want some lowering springs. but i dont know which ones i should get a have a 97 2.2 and i was jw anyone have any good luck wiht any springs out there.. help me i have heard about dropzone springs and seen pics wiht the same rims they look really good but are they reliable.. also im gettin a BC2 Kit and they are low but do you think with a 1.8 inch drop that with stock tires and wheels 15" rim that the kit will rub in the winter.. i have 18" MR7's for summer months chrome ..
also i know its recomened to get new struts but will this hurt the springs.. wat is the downside to not gettin new struts.....
thanks in advance
for starters you chose the spring height... you know how your car sits...
if you did plus sizing, the same size overall of the tire and wheel at 15 inches will be the same size at 19, 18, 17 or whatever inches.
plus sizing raises the size of the wheel, shrinks the size of the tire. overall diameter stays the same, read the FAQ in the wheel and tire forum for the offset info... thats gonna be more important on if something will rub.
get the kit first, see how much room you have to play with then make a decision.
slamming a car will only get you a harder ride. dont be cheap, if you do, then be prepared to replace parts regularly, or just deal with a crappy ride.
whats the downside to not getting struts... put it this way....
stock struts is like highschool football. aftermarket is like pro football.
you dont throw a freshman in highschool into a pro game or he'll get his arse kicked. aftermarket springs usually damamge stock struts way quicker than normal. which equals a crappy ride. this is in the FAQ in more detail if needed..
other than that, the choice is yours.
i was gonna recomend sportlines cuz thats what i have and i love them, but if your gonna kit your car i'd recomend the eibach pro-kit, with a nice set of koni struts, you wont regret it
