I found some Tein S-tech lowering springs for my cav on ebay for $120. I am looking to lower my car a bit , more for go not show. Am i going to need new struts with these springs or not. I know it will only be better with new struts but i dont have all the money to get new struts at the time, so i was wondering if it would be fine with stock struts for a while. thanks for your help guys........

how much of a drop are you planning, the stock struts are not made to be lowered past what they are at stock. they will blow. i would buy your springs save up and get a shocks/struts and then put them on at the same time.

Yeah good advice and it will create more work in the future.
However if you like to work on cars then I say go for it and give yourself an excuse to buy some new struts!!!

not sure on the drop of those. but if they are 1.5 inch drop or less then the KYB AGX struts are good. anything more than 1.5 then you should get Konis.
and stock struts are not made for lowering. best to do it right the first time
