how much did it cost to get your swaybars installed or how hard is it to install them yourself?

A rear sway bar will take you about 30min and the front sway bar should take you about 2 hours.
The only drilling you might have to do is for the rear bar. If you want to know the steps on the front bar let me know.
yeah the steps would really help out if you've got the time

If you don't have a stock bar, you may have to drill a few holes
No you don't have to drill anything holes are all there.
Oops install for the front is found just a few thread down:

Quick Question
For the front install that doesn't currently have a sway bar you will need
2 - "d" brackets part #22660396
2 - bushings ??? can they be purchased from GM as well?
and does the eibach kit come with the endlinks? if not where can I get those
Thanks

on my 03 on the rear, it took me a while because I did have to drill holes next to where the rear shocks bolt up to the suspension trailing arm.
other than that the install was pretty smooth, the brackets may be a little hard to get over the cross member on the rear trailing arm. It took me about an hour, but a lot of that was from squeezing under the car, drilling the holes, and searching for pieces that seemed to go invisible for a while.
Upgrade is well worth it.
I ordered my bar from gravana for around $150.00 and it drop shipped from ADDCO, was here within 2 weeks
when you get the bar and feel the weight and how rigid it is you realize just how sweet it will be.

if you get the rk sport rear sway bar its very easy to install, requires no drilling/cutting or anything of that sort.....just some strength to get those bolts off the bottom of the struts
only took me like 45 min
I agree with IamRascal. I got the addco bar, and it took much longer than twenty minutes to install, due to the u- bolts being a tight fit over the stamped rear axle. Not really the bolts, but the four upper and lower brackets that sandwich the two bushings, were not aligned properly, and had to be hammered liberally to fit on the bolts ( once they were on the axle) as well as widened with my unibit a little bit.
I like the rear bar ( once installed), but I am not happy with ADDco's quality control at manufacturing. You should not have to modify $300 parts. They should work from the factory.
I have not installed the front bar yet. I want to this weekend, but summerschool finals for the 1st session of the summer are next week. And I really don't have the extra alignment money right now. Plus after having to tweak the rear bar to get it to fit, I am a little concerned with getting the front one in, even though I have all of the parts. If it was bolt-on ( as advertised) I would be ok, But my cav didn't have the front bar, so I know there is going to be unexpected dillemmas.
^ I feel your pain... i too drive a base model J.
let me know how it goes i ordered mine 4 days ago.
