Hey, i just installed my KYB AGX's w/ the Pro Kit. took about 3 hours but turned out pretty good. I was driving around today and when i turn the wheel i sometimes hear and feel like something is rubbing on the front right passenger side. i kno everything is tight because i had an air gun to help me. I dont kno if maybe something got messed up when trying to wiggle that strut into place because that side gave me a little trouble.
what i really want to kno is when i get the alignment, will it be fixed? is it just something that happens sometimes when u install the suspension?
Did you at least eyeball the alignment? If it's off by too much you could rub.
Did you notice any rub marks on the wheel well? From the tire touching.
Does it sound/feel only when turning the steering wheel; or is it simply from having it turned? Could be the mounts, how did they look?
i looked at it in the afternoon today and the driver side looked off more than the passenger side.
it mostly happens if i turn it when i am parking. it did not feel as if it were rubbing when i was turning corners. It was at about 3/4 of a turn of the steering wheel. if you turn it past this point you wont feel it anymore, it just happens as you are turning it. ill have to check in the morning if it rubbed against the wheel well
found out what it is. . . the damm strut mount. thanks for your help CTS. now i jus have to take it apart and get a new one
look on the bright side, if you found this out before you got an alignment, then you will only have to get an alighnment done once instead of twice.
