Suspension Mods

Hey,

I'm a newb to the j-bods. Just got an 02 Sunfire 2200 A/T, looking to improve handling. It seems to have a bit too much roll into it, in my opinion. Have seen several strut bars that are available, but have heard issues with the PCM on the 2200s. Looked at the PCM, but cant see how it would be in the way. More specifically, I am looking at Vibrant's brand of strut bar. Has anyone had clearance issues? Sorry to ask this, since I bet there are already tons of topics on this, but I dont have all the patience w/dial-up to look through all of them currently. Any info appreciated, thanks in advance. Thanks for letting me join.

dial-up is no excuse
search, read the faq, and dont double post

but vibrant i've heard doesnt have that much clearance issue, the pcm does cause some trouble but you can pujt it somewhere or bend the bracket.
sway bars will help with roll too

Strut bars wont help with body roll. You want sway bars to control that. Also, a good set of performance shocks and springs will control body roll too.

I have an 01 2200 and my vibraint bars fit fine no mods for cruise control ( I dont have it lol ). Thos e will help very little in body roll get a swaybar set to start if your happy with body roll then your good .....but if your like the majority of guys here it wont be and you'll change struts and springs as well. I swear by my koni's and dail up is no excuss if it bothers you so much visit a local library like i used to when i had dail up lol.. good luck with your suspension.
