Installed springs, help, big problem
Sunday, August 21, 2005 2:30 PM
When I bought my cavy, it came with strange coilovers and the ride was very bouncy, so I decided to change to springs.

I bought H&R springs and I installed them today....... The rear came out perfectly but the front made some serious noises when I move my steering wheel...... So I though I installed them backwards and then, I change them to see if that was the problem.....

same thing again, It started to make some loud noises.........

anybody knows what I did wrong ?

am I missing a piece or something ?

I know that putting lowering springs on stock struts is bad, and I am planning on changing the struts. But since I was bored, I change them because anything is better than cheap coilovers on stock struts...

pllllzzz help mee

sorry for my english =)

I need a new sig =(

you're missing the bearing assembly for the front strut mounts

go out and buy a set of strut mounts and you'll understand what you're missing (you'll need to buy a set of strut mounts to get the parts you need anyhow)

you should have had a manual just in case or read the FAQ cause theres a step by step walk through in there on how to install springs

theres only one way to put front springs on, wider part at the top, narrower part at the bottom.

not really better. personally you should have simply just waited....reason... when you remove struts, you need an alignment afterwards....

so basically sometime this week you should go get an alignment. thats kinda a waste of money cause if you dont you'll prob wear your tires unevenly costing you more money...

OR

you will have to pay for another alignment when you finally install them correctly with actual working struts.

should have waited.
