Ok well its that time to change my stock OEM rotors as wore my pass. side down to grinding (I didn't really care since I was buying aftermarket ones anyways). Now my question is on which brand of rotors does anyone have much experience with? I'm staying stock size, slotted, but am not sure about either Brembo or Power Slot. I've heard alot of good things about Power Slot, but also realize that Brembo is very respectable in the braking business. Unfortunately, I've also heard a few bad remarks about Brembo's rotors for the j-bodies.... Any experience in this area would be of great help....also I am getting ceramic pads for the rotors...any feedback on that or am I fine with that choice....I do break alot at medium to high speeds...lol

You're going to get mixed reviews as to who prefers what. Both will perform fine, it's your personal taste that will be the deciding factor. I personally have CHP slotted rotors, they work great.
Ceramic pads are good. I like mine.
EBC makes slotted rotors. I had them with the EBC Greenstuff pads for about a year. No complaints at all (besides the typical slotted rotor chatter).
Between Brembos and PowerSlot, it's like two different sides of the quarter; each looks a bit different, but both work in the vending machine just the same.

James is right on the EBC too. Take your pick really.
Thanks guys... I ended up buying the Brembo slotted rotors with Akebono proACT ceramics for the pads... Much appreciated...

I love my brembo slotted rotors and performance friction z-rated pads
see ya!
i just got some drilled slotted rotors/Lomandi brake pads from ebay for 70 bux shipped
i heard that drilled rotor are not good because of cracking, and isn't jim gravana having a sale on power slot rotors, hawk pads, and steel brake lines for $239.99
Drilled will only crack if you abuse them. Just like anything else, they have a limit. Their limit is marginally more than stock (usually). Slotted's limit is higher than drilled in general.
Pay attention to manufacturer recommendations!
Also. Not all drilled are created equal. Simply cross drilled are the worst of the bunch (and the cheapest). Chamfered are better. Continously rolling chamfers are the best (and most expensive). They will usually advertise this because it does make a difference.
Not all slotted are created equal either. The slot shape makes a big difference. Some use a hyperbolic V shape (the best). Some use a straight V shape. Some use a square shape (the worse and cheapest usually).
If you're going to be pushing them please, for safety sake, don't cheap out on yourself.

Pretty much both companies will give you the same performance. The only part that comes into play is the quality of the rotor but they are both pretty much the same. Anyone who says "this is better" is giving pretty much a biased answer.

ok so for those who are not sure what you are saying, like me, if they spiral out to the edges they are better??
i want the 2007 camaro
I have crossed drilled not problems. I didn't cheapones wither. I got some Brembo Rotors so far so good. One reason some cross drilled crack washing your car and puttling cold water on hot rotors, that will warp it as well.

RAKS: It depends on how they were designed.
I have the Powerslot Slotted rotors, and hawk performance pads. Worth every cent. And i dont get Slotted rotor chatter, regardless how hard i apply the brakes.

Alright! I got the new rotors installed, and here are some pics ....
New Rotor pics...
I do have another quick question though. When I drive now, I can notice a slight pull to the left. My alignment is up to date, I bedded the pads in properly, and still I noticed the problem. Could this be that I need to bleed the system for air? Or could one caliper set be in better condidtion and be pulling to the left? Any advice would be awesome!

I thought slotted rotors only would chew up pads pretty fast. I thought I read about it somewhere.

That's why you have to upgrade the pads also otherwise it would do that to stock pads.

Its funny cuz my friend has Powerslot rotors for his Mark3 Supra and on them it said "manufactured by Brembo", either that or it just had the name Brembo on them. I know they are definetly Powerslot Rotors because the box they came in had Powerslot written all over it. Just thought i'd share that tidbit of info.

Pulling while breaking? Might need to be bled.
Pulling all the time? Most likely the alignment. Pound on anything with a hammer?
I had the Brembo Crossdrilled rotors on my car for alittle over a year along with Performance friction CM pads and they were a night a day fdifferance over the stock warped rotors that were on the car when i bought it.
Never any noise problems, and when i removed them to do the big brake conversion i had almost 75% pad left, after over a year and something like 25K miles.
Anyways, good stuff and worth the money, and if anybody is interested i have the rotors and pads along with my stock front calipers, painted red for sale, if anytbody is interested.
They are just collecting dust in my garage. Perfect working order, no cracks and liek i said the pads are almost brand new.

Haha yes now come to think of it, i used a rubber mallet to get the front right rotor off....damnit time to get another alignment....

I have powerslots with Hawk HP pads.
Also slotted rotors will eat up the pads if you install them incorrectly (backwards). The rotors are clearly marked L and R, but people still seem to mount them incorrectly because it "looks cooler"
I have no noise, no chatter; Nice smooth braking that brings me to an incredible stop if I slam on them.
I also don't like driving cars without upgraded brakes anymore, they stop really slowly.....

I heard even though they are put on the right way they may not tear up your pads but they will be used up faster than normal.
