OK I just got a FREE 1995 cavalier that my brother in-law gave me. So the front end is smashed up (bumper is gone both fenders are shot and hood is junk). But that is where I need everyones help at this forum. I am a Honda/Mazda guy so this is all new too me, but I am quickley starting to really enjoy the j-body. Well anyway to the point I want to swap the front end, now I know I searched and found a good write up but I just want to make sure before I buy all the parts. Now I want to go to a 03-05 front end so all I need is the 03-05 front bumper, 03-05 headlights,and the 03-05 fenders right. Please let me know if I need anything else like the hood. Oh ya is anything from the 95 swappable to the 03-05?? Thanks Guys and yes I expect to get made fun of because there is already a write up but I am new at this.
Naw dude, it's all good here. the important thing is that you don't act like you know everything cuz that will get you eatten alive on the org. other then that you have a pretty good starting point. IMO the 3rd gen is the best/easiest to modify. as far as a frot end conversion the three main swaps you can do are the 1995-2002 sunfire,2003+ sunfire and the 2003+cavalier. whenevr you decide what you want to go for then just look for a front end(cheaper) or find all of the parts. and there is a pretty good sticky on front end swaps in the exterior forum i think......
Oh yeah and if you decide to do the 03+ fire let me know cuz i have one witht the front all left.
to switch to an 05 you need the fenders, bumper, hood, headlights, and i believing a wiring harness for the headlights.but its all a direct bolt on.

^^ yep i believe thats right... and most third gen parts are swappable between years, with the exception of motor parts. obviously an ecotec intake wont fit an ohv. but exterior, interior, suspension, etc is all interchangeable, or its a direct bolt on fit.

The redneck's got it, I think the only other things in question are the fender supports behind the headlights, and the bumper cushion. The wiring is different because the lights are one piece with one single plug for each.
