Ok i realy am curious about the quanity # for the american 02 Z24 Sedan? They do exist I have one. I have heard they were only produced for 2-3 months. So in that time haw many 4 door Z's were produced. I have the only one i have seen in my area. i know their are a few on the org most being candadian. " lucky basterds and their eco Z's ". Does any one realy know.

I already ask Lenko and he doesn't know. So if HE doesn't know, nobody else will.

I got the 2.4 in mine tough. I've never seen one with an Eco. I've seen 3-4 since I got mine last year.

I bought mine and I was happy cause it's a "rare" car. The day I picked up mine, the salesman gave me the keys, I came out the dealership parking and I look on my right, there was a cavy just like mine sitting at the restaurant. What a kick in the nuts.

I don't have an actual number.... but there's quite a few out there.... If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say somewhere in the 5,000 range...

Thanks i'm the only one around i ask two dealerships and they said they didn't exist but the one got mine at has sold 2 thats including mine. maybee ny just didn't get many of them.

we got the eco Z24 from 02-05. the US got the LS sport.

i know about the candadian verson i was just wondering the numbers on the usa verson. i cauculated around 8500 built using wikapedia 200000 built divide by 6 models divide by 12months times by 3 round up. Know this an estimate becuase Chevy discontinued both z24 models due to lack of sales and their production had already been cut. Minus about a 100 a year from various accidents and another 100 or so that went for a swim in the gulf of mexico probley around 8000 left divide that by 48 states around a 166 per state. that i think is why i never saw on before mine or even new they existed. I still have people in 2200/2.2 cavys and say look its a fake z i laft and blow their doors off "done in moderation." my freind did not beleive i saw one till i bought it drove down to his house and took him for a ride. I laid my first patch with this car in his drive way both tires lit right up no wheel hop. I found out what wheel hop was when i went to the track a week later.
Any one else have any info.

did they do the fake Z24 in the US?
we had them in Canada they where called the Z type, basically you could just buy the body package on a dead base model. but you could not get the 16" chrome wheels on it.

id assume it was the "base with sport appearance package" in the US.

here's my z24 sedan. lol i get alot of ppl asking me about it and wondering why they made them that year, so then i gotta explain and pop the hood for them..... I've always wanted a 02 z24 5speed, they awesome cars.

i love mine but i think its gunna see an eco in its future. I just get a hold of a neco and its manual tranny. I can't seem to find a total parts list for the swap.2.4 manual to a eco manual i know its getting forged pistons and rods plus a stage 2 clutch light weight flywheel and lsd. Then i have to choose tC or Sc I want a four door that makes thhem go ohh sh#$@ that was a cavalier sedan. HAHAHA i can't want to start playing.

That must be even more rare.......having a 2002 Z24 (US Model) with the 5 speed. I thought I remember reading that most Z24's produced were automatic?

i know i girl who has a z sedan. the poor thing is beat to death. its a manual, 2.4. headliner is ripped out dents all over. shes been on a donut for atleast 6 months. makes me sad everytime i see it

i would love to have a 2k2 4dr z24 with a 5 spd.

I was actually looking for one or an LS w/ the eco and 5spd when i was looking for a new car.....i love strats.

Well mines getting $4315 worth of repairs taken care of i hate accidents it is my first i miss my Z

i had 2 friends here with Z24 sedans with 5spd , ive seen more Z24 sedans , then i have 02 Z24's

not as normal around here alot of people say they don't exist

i got flamed when i mentiond that there were too many autos in the pics from a show. some people dont understand. i think they must not no how to drive stick. butt back to topic. i see at least 3 sedan z24s around my area regularly. must be more popular in certain areas.

my 98 could be getting a 2.4 5speed swap in the near future

Their are a lot of people that did not know they existed till they say mine. Shes all fixed to $500 out my pocket $4500 out of the insurance company. I wish they had told me more info on what they were gonna due and prices i would have gottin some nice parts.

its too bad the 2.4 never came in the 95-99 sedans. (if it did i have yet to ever see one). i think that would have been nice. i like that style of cav, but the bigger engine is a plus in my books.



Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!

it did not normaly you could also get in 5 spd but not a normal extra.
