So I have been putting off fixing some minor oil leaks until yesterday. It looked like the rear main seal was leaking. If anyone has ever JUST taken off the tranny on our cars knows the pain in the @$$ that it is to just take the tranny off. So I just took the tranny off big mistake like usual cause it sucks doing it that way. So I get it off and get the flywheel off and it then looked like the oil pan was leaking. So now I have to lay under the car more and fight with the clearance issues to get the oil pan off. F that lol. I pulled the whole motor cause I was so frustrated. So all that work takin off the tranny it coulda just stayed on and came out with the motor lol. But anyway. It looks like now that oil is leaking between the mating surface of the rear main cap and the block! So Im not sure what to do there. I know that there is sealer between those to so Idk. Im just depressed cause I hate when my car is down...

Damn that sucks to hear. I hope your not using dexcool either, lim gaskets are a bit*h hahaha. Check out the store at 60degreev6 too, theyve got a lot of new 3x00 stuff and Ben is a great guy to deal with
Did you cut your subframe like he did?

sure did. Less time spent putting the trans #3 in
Am i the only one who has no problem changing these trans?? I haven't done it with the v6 yet but with my 2.2 i would have it out in an hour and a half by myself. I just had to twist the trans so the diff would clear the sub frame then it just slid right out. I guess i'm gonna find out soon how it goes with the v6, my center force started slipping at the track.

I did it more of a convenience thing... anything to save time swapping the trans, I'm all for it

That's what I do to. Quick 90* rotation and it's out.
However, I believe the writeup was on the ECO cars. I know on the 2.4 cars the bellhousing and maybe the whole transmission is slightly bigger (and probably the ECO too) which makes this rotation thing something you can only do with a 2.2 trans.
