Ok went to the junk yard today and got a 95 cavalier K-member, motor with acc's and tranny with cables. got it for $15 No not a typo

So the sticker on the car said it was a 2.3
but the block said it was a 2.4 so what is it a 2.3 or a 2.4?

Well it had a 2.4 idi on it but idk must be a swap be4 i got to it?

it does have the 2.3 aluminum intake manifold. but not sure of the cam sensor ill try to look tomorrow

ok so i'm going to do the 2.3 HO intake manny swap since we have an extra just laying around the house and the HO throttle body to with a header, and my 2 1/4 exhaust i have on the car, with poly mounts and a getrag 282 swap

Justin, if you got a CNG engine (I'm guessing that's what you meant by hybrid, since there weren't any hybrid gas/electric Cav's), I'd start getting the parts up on ebay.
The CNG parts are expensive as hell. You might make yourself some good cash. (I say might, because obviously someone has to be looking for the parts, but they are big bucks if you were to buy them new).

CNG=compressed natural gas. They made J-bodies that ran on CNG, but the parts are all crazy expensive, as was the vehicle, and it's not easy in many areas of the country to find a place to fill up with CNG.

i know out here, department of transportation, and a few city and government businesses have some i think most were relegated for fleet use but could be mistaken on that.

ok so i found out what it is and when i talk about a hybrid i'm talking about a 2.4 block and a 2.3 086 head swap
witch is what i have except it had a 456 head on it witch i will swap my 086 i have onto it and its already 11.1 compression so than i will put my HO exhaust cam in it and later put it in the car

so the engine you got....? it came from a 95 so did it get a 2.4 bottom end swap? what computer is it running? obd 1 or obd 2?

Well it was running the 95 cavie computer but i don't know if it was a 2.3 computer or a 2.4 one and i'm guessing it was a bottom
end swap and idk about the obd 1 or 2 cause when i got to the car the cat was cutt off and the down pipe was gone already

if i gave you guys the 4 didget code on the computer could any of you tell me what computer it is?
