What all do i need to swap my automatic transmission to a manual, i got a 1997 sunfire GT 2.4L auto. Will any trany bolt on to the 2.4L or do i need a specific one. I know it's alot of work but i really like my car and really want a manual.

Well if you have the 2.4L, you can use the Isuzu from a 2.4L, the older Getrag T550, or the newer Getrag F23 trans. Either way, you will need to weld in new mounts for the trans. I personally would suggest the Getrag F23 trans. You'll need the clutch assembly, clutch master cylider, and need to change the wiring harness for the reverse lights and TSS. You'll also need a flywheel from the manual trans car for the 2.4L as well as a clutch assembly. I think that should be everything that you need.

Haha, you don't have rear axles....it's a straight beam axle in the rear. Your car is FWD. Get the driver and passenger side axles.

How hard would it be to but disc brakes on the rear instead of having the drums could i just take the front ones off another sunfire or cav?

To address the rear brake question....No you can't just take the front brakes from another Cav and put them on the rear. It simply won't work. You're only option is to get an aftermarket kit such as Wilwood for a rear disc conversion. Either that or go with a Neon rear disc swap. There are a few other options as well, but not very easy, and no offense, but from what it looks like you know about cars, is out of your league to do.
What is your purpose in boring out your motor? Simply boring it out isn't going to net you any power unless you do a complete engine build. And when I say complete, I mean complete. Thousands of dollars. Total waste of time and money if all you are going to do is bore it out and put the bigger pistons in. Unless your cylinder walls are damaged, or are going for a big build with power adders, just forget about it.
