I have a '97 Cavalier with the 2.2 and 5-spd. I started it up yesterday, and the exhaust note was off (a little louder and deeper than usual), and there's a vibration from the engine at about 2000rpm (I think, I don't have a tach, but at 45kmh in 3rd gear, 65 in 4th, 90 in 5th). Is this a major problem, or is it just a minor quirk to be expected from a $700 car?

Check all the engine/tranny mounts. They could be worn out.
