hey i was wondering if anyone had a 3400 wiring diagram i bought a donor car today for my swap.its a 2000 grand am se and im starting probably sometime this week. its goin in my 97 2.2. any help would be great. thanks

i need under hood diagrams, i will be wiring up the 3400 into my 2.2. but i still havent decided if im going to use the 2.2 computer at all yet. i might just go buy some after market digital gauges and wire them up rather then using the 2.2 computer for just that reason. as for everything else like the stereo and heaters, etc. ill just wire all that up when i get everything up and running. right now im waiting on a head gasket set that im going to replace before i put the engine into my cav. so i still have a few days before i actually have to start at the wiring. one more question. do i have to have hptuners or megasquirt or some other program to get the 3400 computer to work with the manual trans or is there some other way around the whole thing? thanks for any help.

That's something that you need to figure out before you start wiring, or thinking about wiring anything. Those are 2 different things, and will cause your wiring to be a lot different.

ok thats good to know. thanks.lol. as i said, im new to this. what will the differences be. i think megasquirt may be a stand alone system?. not sure. which would have to be wired into the 3400 harness am i correct?
