Yeah, Tinkles did it to his Cavalier. He's running a Dana 44 rear with Posi and a Quadratrac transfer case for all time 4wd.

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

Actually its a Subaru EJ25(turboed) and the STI 6-speed. I couldnt get the Dana to fit right w/o it looking like a monster truck.

whats really cool is the mod he did to make the front tires go forward and the rears to go backward for four wheel burnouts!

See one other thing you can do is run a Fiero transaxle and motor. The iron duke is the preferred choice in this, so you can run dual engine and tranny as well. Just use some string and tie it to the gas pedal to make that 2.5 open up.

....Dana 44 FTW !!!!.... Some one did a body swap from a '92 to '95 Civic hatch onto a WRX...Not sure of exact years but it worked with a lot of work...Body swap would be easier unless you plan on building a complete frame underneath.....I'll find the link if you want it...

I say, if anybody figures it out or actually does it that would be bad ass! But highly unlikely.... Have fun making your own chassis, axles etc...

So that's why that mid engine cav project is taking so long.... He must have decided to go two engine awd....

s-10 lowered with a cavy body. If you can do some of the work probably a $3000- $4000 investment depending on what you want for an engine

Correct. Judging by the wheels its a S10/S15 4WD w a Cavalier body on it.

LOL. While I highly doubt that car is anything but 4WD, having the pumpkin on the side does not mean it isn't AWD. There are plenty of AWD vehicles that have the pumpkin offset. It has to be due to the fact that the front drive shaft has to clear the engine. Pretty much the only big difference when it comes to trucks and SUVs is the transfer case.
