I just bought a 2000 Z-24 for $250.00 the body and interior is near perfect but the motor threw a rod out the side of the block. I have a 1999 Cav with the 2,2 sfi motor with 65k thats totaled .
I'm not concerned with performance so I'm not going for another 2.4 or a 3800 , the car is for my son to drive to school , I want to swap the 2200 into the Z .
Am I correct in assuming that I need the harness, PCM, engine and trans .... will I need anything else ????
I guess look up the 2200 to 2.4 swap and do it backwards.

save yourself a bunch of work but switching to a 2000-02 2200 trans and get the wiring out of a 2000-02 you can use the motor but theres a tonne of extra work
sell the 99 2200 trans and but an 00-02 2200 trans
all 2000+ use the same mounts on the trans and the shafts
lower engine mounts is the same take the upper mount out of the 99 that will get it bolted in
get a 2200 5spd harness from a 2000 and your set
