I'm lookin to swap an 03 manuel getrag into my 2000 sunfire, which also has a 5 speed getrag. My question is, weather on not the ecotec engine has the same bell house bolt pattern as the 2200 ohv? Both transmissions look identical and iv done a bit of researching I don't think it is but I would like to conferm. I am debating weather or not to just swap the whole Eco engine in as well. Any input is appreciated!

No to my understanding the bell housings are different. The bellhousing can be changed though iirc.

UMMMMM NO.... If you did the research you would know the eco a different bell housing bolt pattern....... Also best place to have posted this would have been under the transmission forums....
