Maybe it's just because the pic is chopped and not an actual photo but the car doesn' t seem to be as clean as the red version.

That would be true. The quick and dirty method I used to make the red into black has exposed some noisiness in the picture. Frankly, I don't think we need a lot of photoshop magic to imagine a black car. (Do we?)
