this is not your typical what sparl plugs should I use post.

my questions is why can't you use platnium plugs, what makes them so bad for nitrous, and the heat ranges, what do they actualy change on a plug to lower the heat range? just bored and thinking

platinum plugs act much like a glow plug and will not help your cause when it comes to detonation

copper in general conducts heat and electricity much faster, so heat will dissapate and not cause any "glow plug" effect

and as we all know, detonation = very very bad

don't know much about the heat ranges, but it's gonna fall in the same category for preventing detonation

Well the electrode determines the heat range if the link didn't tell you that.

I know that but I wanted to know how it determines the heat range, liek what about the electrode changes its heat range

Darkstars what plugs are you running?

I have NGK TR6's since I put the nitrous in and they seem to be fine

Length, diameter. Not sure which is a colder heat range, wider, longer, shorter, slimmer.
