Im Hard Wiring my cars radio cause it was stolen and i dont want to play to have it done again but i have no clue what im doin i need alot of help anyone know wiring diarams on the web where it tells what wires are what.
You think hardwiring a headunit is going to stop someone from stealing it?
Buy a good car alarm instead of butchering your radio harness.
i suspect the thief cut the wires and now he has no choice... but that's just my 2 cents.
I'm working on putting my alarm in and since I have the car apart. I might as well do this too. I want to get rid of the fuse tap. Which would be the best wire and what location is the wire in for the hook up? I have a 2001 Cavi.
Power & ground:
Orange - Battery Positive Voltage (constant)
Red - Battery Positive Voltage (switched) Note: not found in 2000+ radio harness
Black - Ground
2000+ specific:
Purple - Class 2 signal, radio on (2000+ cars only)
Pink - Radio On Signal (2000+ Monsoon, amplified systems only)
Purple - Gain Control Signal to amp (2000+ Monsoon, amplified systems only)
