Well my kenwood finally died, considering im its 4th owner, it has taken a beaten, and i got it free.
well I need to find a 2 channel amp that is as close to 250watts rms @ 4 ohm as possible. perferablly under $300. NO ROCKFORD, KICKER, SONY!
I found 2 that would surfice for power and price but i never heard of either brand, yet both seem to have some good comments about them.
My Choices:
Nitro BMW-486
2000watt peak
2 channel
200Watts RMS @ 4 ohms
-or-
DHD NTX-3107
2000 watt peak
2 channel
250 watts rms @4 ohms.
Which do you think is the better choice?
Can you give any other amp suggestions?
BTW, its 4 (2) Infinity 10" 250 Watt RMS @4 ohms subs, 1020W's to be precise.
i've never heard of nitro at all. i had a cd head unit made by DHD that was great. it never gave me any real problems, i had it about two years and it wasn't falling apart or anything, when i dropped the face plate about 2 months into owning it i gave them a call and they sent me another face plate free of charge...

Aren't both of those amps kind of...low quality? I had a DHD some years back. Never had any problems that I remember, but I also remember that it was pretty inexpensive.
I've been running my Memphis 500-watt amp for 2 years now and LOVE it, though. Good luck with the decision.

CONCEPT! I think they are the best amps on the market without question, and we sell all the high end brands. They take tons of abuse, very inexpensive, and under rate their power. I completely replaced all of my amps with Concepts and the difference is night and day. You can't go wrong with Concept.

errr, im so torn. The nitro is awesome looking and i can get it for $150, normally $400.
The DHD is $170 normally $350, while the Hifonics i can get for $260 normally $500.
And im looking into Concept at the moment. Thanks for you input.
I hate kicker. nothing but problems with there line.
