I was just wanting some opinions of what you think.
Why 5x7 components up front? Round speakers sound fantastic, why ruin it with the 5x7's?
true round is better than oval
Another thing, why not use a 4 channel amp instead of 2 2 channel amps? And a monoblock for your subs?
i was wonderin this myself lanman....i was thinkin of a 4 channel amp but then i was wondering which pre-out it would go off of...i have 3 preouts...one SW, one front and one rear...so if you attached it to any of those, id be missing some sound, or is there a way around that...like turning my SW one onto FULL and just setting the cross overs, but then thats three amps the line would be feeding and wouldnt i lose voltage or something or would it not even matter all that much?

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
LOL
Don't most 4 channel amps have 2 sets of rca inputs, with a Hp/Lp crossover for each?
The reason I went with the 5X7's is I used to have alpine, infinity, kenwood round 5 1/4, 6.5, and 6 3/4 and to me they all sounded like crap. The sound is determined by the overall design not being oval or round( If that was the case the Kicker L5's and L7's(Square) would be crap, which they aren't). The reason I went with two kx250.2 is full control over my front and rear speakers, nowday people use 4 channel amp and want to have full control over their must and really think that they do, in fact the don't. What if one of the channels get fried/blown then you have to replace the whole amp and imo that wouldn't be good to run your speakers unamped while you wait for a replacement. People say that brand's don't matter, they are dead wrong you get what you pay for, as with most things.
L5's and L7's dont have the best sq they are more of an sql sub, thats why they are shaped like that to move more air. with a 4ch you can have full control over your system, you can use 2 2ch amps but its goin to cost more in the long run.
round mid range set ups sound better if you don't think so then you have to learn how to set your amps up the right way. they will have alot more over all sound and mid range/bass.
for the subs you should of got a class D amp it will push the subs alot better and less voltage loss.
brands dont matter at all when it comes to car audio if you think that then your goin to waste alot of cash payin for a name. you can spend alot less on a system and get alot better sound or spl out of it.
With the set-up I'm going with I don't plan on going an trying to win any spl contest or have the loudest system. I want to thank all of you for your input about my set-up. This is the way I think, why try to go the cheap route and save a few bucks and take chances of your system not being what you want it to be, Here a perfect example would you go and buy Wal-mart Special Shoes or "Name Brand" Shoes . I was very happy with my factory set-up (Upgraded System from factory) It sounded alright to me until about 3 months ago but the systems worn out. I'll never take the cheap way out on my car, but that's me (Weither it's car audio, preformance parts, body kits, paint, Lowering Springs, etc.
