Not directly to the radio but you would have to use a Hi/Low adapter. Basicly takes the speaker wires and converts then to RCA connection (yes I know there is more to it then that, just generalizing)

Search ebay for them they are not that expensive.

you mean a remote wire? You have to create one your self you can do one of two things

Find a switched power source, I.E. turn signals line, tap it in the fuse box add a fuse and wire to the remote line on the amp

I like to also add a switch between the amp so you can turn it off when you want for what ever reason.

If you need more instructions feel free to take alook at the stickys and search this has been posted hundreds of times.

Some amps have speaker level inputs and current sensing circuitry so you wouldn't need a converter or a remote turn on wire.

Here's a quote from an MTX amplifier owners manual.

"3. Speaker Level Inputs – This input will allow the amplifier to operate from source units with speaker level
outputs. Output speaker leads from the source unit should be tied directly to the wire harness provided
with the amplifier.

Wire harness color codes:
Grey/Black = Source unit right negative (-) White/Black = Source unit left negative (-)
Solid Grey = Source unit right positive (+) Solid White = Source unit left positive (+)

With the Smart-Engage™ auto-turn-on circuit, a remote turn-on wire is not necessary when connecting the speaker-level input wire harness to a high powered source unit. The amplifier will automatically turn on when music is received."

So you can run an amp without a converter or remote turn on leads.

A lot of good amps have high level inputs now. MTX is the only brand I can think of off the top of my head that has the smart engage though, others still need a remote wire which is easy enough to get power for from your fuse box or ignition harness.

i ran a stock head unit with 3 amps for over 2 years without a problem, only issue was slight alternator whine at idle, i used high level inputs, when i switched to aftermarket deck it illiminated all engine whine, nothing was half assed about my setup it sounded fine
