ok. i have 3 subs. 2 are in one box and 1 is in another. they are all the same brand and are recomended for 1.1 cubic foot per sub. the box with the 2 has 3 Cubic feet. if i cut another hole on the opposite side of the box directly in the center would i be able to run the subs without harming them in the 3 Cubic foot encloser ( 3.3 is recomended)? i think the only diff would be there would be tighter bass wich i dont mind. and if this occurs can i fill it with pollyfill or does it even do anything. thank you.
i dont have enouph room in my cav for a 3 sub enclosure. how bad will it sound IF i do this???
in my opinion Very. i kinda wannna be different than the kids at school that are just running 1 or 2. mine is already lound and everyone knows me for my system but if i get the 3rd one in there it would be different than all the kids at schools cars. know what i mean. im not looking for an absolute substantal gain. just a little bit.
lol, ah high school. i had the loudest 10" out of all my friends back then
you should be able to fit 3 on the same side and still have trunk space if you design it right.

Well.. if you wanna be different from everyone else at school.. focus on quality.. have one really nice sub will push more power than anyone else if thats what your looking for..
Quality of Quantity..
I do applaude you for trying to be different, but its most likely not gonna sound that great, but I do wish you luck

well if uwant it go for it. im just a person who when i install something i like to get full use out it. to me its just kind of a waste to just throw it in to be diffrent the your high school kids. but thats just me. i just think if you really want to stand out build a new box to fit all three 10's that looks nice and takes advantage of all three subs.

I was able to fit 3 12" type r's in my cavalier. I had them in a sealed enclosure. 1 cub ft per sub. Sounded decent.

well. for starters i have 3-12's not 10's. and i did put all three in the same box todaybut instead of putting it on the back i put it on top. so you have 2 in front and one on top. it sounded AMAZING compared to what it was. then my amp thats been having problems decided to blow. so i sent it in for a refurb. so i could only hook 2 of the 3 up. and the third acted as a bass reflex type system. and that was even LOUDER. but im beginning to think i have slight electrical problems. i hooked an alarm up yesterday CORRECTLY (ive installed WAY to many. in teachers cars also) and it caught fire. the trunk would pop every time hooked up the negative. so i unhooked the trunk release (electronic) and hooked ground back up. worked fine then caught fire. so i ripped it out. then today my amp blew. put another in and that went in to protection mode about 6 hrs later. so sunday imma be rewiring everything ive done (cd player,Volt Gauge, and amp wiring) and see what i can come up with. the only thing i can think of is that when the idiots jacked my last CD player they messed a wire up in the dash shorting something out. so i dont know.if anyone has any suggestions id like to hear them. thanks
Here is a pic of my old box I had with the 3 12" type r's. I now have since gotten rid of the 3 and got 2 of the new style run off a Viper D1200.1 @ 1 ohm.
