Well I've decided after last week that I'm going to pursue my dream of reaching United States Autosound Competition International World finals in Kansas City, the event is only by invintation and you need 200 points to qualify for it, or if events are scarce in your area sometimes they make exception and will invite those with less than 200. You get points by placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and get 15, 10, or 5 points for the finish. Some events are double and triple point events.
Heres the events im going to go to
1. May 7 Englishtown Raceway NHRA Sport Compact Show 3x points (45)
2. May 13 Kumho Street Warriorz Cecil County Dragway 2x points (30)
3. May 21 NHRA Atco NJ 3x points (45)
4. May 27 Boston MA KUMHO STREET WARRIORZ 2x points (30)
5. June 16 Kumho Street Warriorz Washington DC 2x points (30)
6. June 17 Kumho Street Warriorz Richmond VA 2x points (30)
7. July 16 Battle of the Imports MIR 2x points (30)
8. AUg 5 LANCASTER NY KUMHO STREET WARRIORZ 2x points (30)
9. Aug 20 Battle of the Imports Atco NJ 2x points (30)
10. Oct 1 NHRA Englishtown NJ 3x points (45)
Those 10 events are the only ones within 300 miles of here and basically all I can get to, mathmatically I need to win at least 6 of them to get my 200 points, I'd like to not have to go to NJ or NY or Boston, but if I lose anything then I have to go to everything. This month is key I can get over half the points I need if I can sweep this month. Then I only need to win 2 other events and I'm in, looking over the results from so far this year I think I have a good shot. Theres also the chance of these getting rained out with further lessens my chances.

what class are you going to comp-ete in? Are you going to be able to win?>
301-900 Super Stock
I should be able to looking at all the past results from all over the country this year my numbers are good enough to win about 75% of what I saw and that was based on the 143.1 I used to hit, I'm sure that I'm louder now, and I figure once I go to a bunch of these things I'll learn more and make some improvements to the car that should get me a bit closer, I would at least like to be competitive at finals, you know within a few db of the top guy, it will take a 150 or so
I went 5-0 in 2004 and 1-0 last year in Usaci so I have a decent record at it

Good luck man. I'm guessing a 58-59 will take that class this year, but a 150 should easily get you in the top 10.
If you manage to make it to finals, and end up going, post on here, I'll come out. Bartle Hall is all of about 10 mintues from my house, and if a felly .org member is going to be there it will give me an excuse to go and see people.

What does your set-up consist of?

I havent seen anyone hit higher than 155 this year in that class but then again the year is far from over
Right now I just got 2 of the new Kicker COmp CVX (Circle L7) in a sealed box
Ill prob end up by the end of the year moving to Solo L7s im thinking 2 12s with as much box as I can fit, my sealed isnt going to take me real far but it should be good enough to win for right now

You won't see what people can do until you show up at finals. Nobody is going to let the cat out of the bag this early.
There has been one 156 that I know of, and it's by someone I know can easily hit higher then that.
Like I said earlier, good luck. Oh, PORT that box!
Mike Roth
whats up man im the one that talked to you at the show in va (with 2 se's) if you want ill help you with the box im goin to re-do mine this weekend ( around 6 cubes tuned to 33hz's).
if you want we can go a little over 8 cube's after wood displacment and around 120" of port tuned around 45 so it peeks around 50 hz's
. but im sure you don't need all that and since you like sq we can make a port plug to tune it lower.
yea i plan on running big box ported L7s later in the season i just got this box to have something to gather up some points with for now

i have 2 l7's with about as much box as i can fit.......let me know how it goes so i can see what i should be able to do.......ill be at hot import nights in charlotte trying to play with the big boys on may 13th if anyone wants to come out and support the org
hey sweetnloud i remember ya, i dont know how much space exactly ill have to work with prob not more than 2cubes per sub at best simply because of my huge amps taking up alot of space
im going to need alot of boom, im not worried about sq too much at comps, ill prob just keep the subs i have now for "daily drivers" the L7s will be strictly for comps, i need to get alot closer to 150 than what i am now

sndsgood, let me know if you end up coming. I'd like to see your car and it's always nice to put a face to a name. Seeing as it's 10 minutes from my house, I'm sure it won't be that hard for me to make it.
