Elemental designs, Holy Sh!t

Wow is all i can say. just installed 2 into my durango and these things kill. George Willings experienced it and changed his mind from installing 3 13OV.2 to just 2 because 3 would be way too much for him. My goal is to get a sponsorship from them and have a competition truck. these are killer subs, rated at 450 rms on their 11's but are taking between 500 and 600 rms all night long. if anyone saw Unique Whips and the Escalade project with the 4 JL W7's cell phone trick my truck does the same thing but with only 2 11's. you will feel these 2 in the chest hard just by sitting in it even with the windows down. When a single window was cracked about 1.5 inches and the subs running it would pull so much air that it would actually continue to open the window during their firing stage and returned the window to the location I put it at without a beat being applied. db numbers will be posted as soon as i can find someione with a db meter in my same area, unless someone will volunteer to ship me theirs for about 3 days so i could meter it.

ok i have 1000 watt rms amp on them. the cell phone trick is putting a cell (the new samsung slider, in my case) on the roof and having in bounce between 3 and 4 inchs high from the actual roof line. my honest opinion is that 2 is plenty for everyday use, with the 11OV.2's, 2 13OV.2 would just be insane, but as i said before i want 4 11OV.2's it'll be crazy.

Elemental Designs kicks arse!! I have two EU700s in my tC and they hit hard. I love the bass of those little things. There are 2 guys working on putting 32 in their cars. One has finished and the other is on his way....

Yeah. The first guy who finished his is Steve, also known as Tribalvision.

Then there is Chris, aka Mandos, who I work with, his has been going for a LONG time, but money was tight for a while, and when you have $1500+ just in subs alone, it takes alot of saving up.

With the release of our 19Ov2. We have a few people running 2-4 18"s in their vehicles. One guy garrett has 2 of them in an xB.

Hmm i THINK i remember someone saying that there subs do better vented. Dont quote me on that though.

The subs do quite well both vented and sealed.

They are made for small volume enclosures compared to alot of other speakers their size.

I would personally try both if you had the time and money to build both.

Alot of people like the transient and linear sound of a sealed box, but some l;ike the extra output they get from the vented enclosure, and with the box tuned around 30hz, the difference in sound, isnt too noticable.

I have two EU700s in a 0.5cuft sealed enclosure and they sound better than my 12" MTX did. I am very happy with the quality of these subs. Elemental Designs rules!

I really think i'm not getting as much out of my subs as I should be.

They are tuned correctly, but it just seems like they could hit harder.

I wish I could take it to someone who knows exactly what they are doing and see if I missed something.

Don't get me wrong they sound great, but I just want to be sure.

From the pictures of your box. it appears that you dont have near enough port area. That will cause performance to go down the drain.

One thing about buying from us, is you get free tech support for life. If you think something is wrong, give us a call. Usually isnt anything more than changing a setting on the amp, or possible a box issue.

God i want $$.. If i get this new job it'll be $15/hour, in which case i can easily afford 2 16Ov's : D Do you think that might be overkill?

No...I ran one 16ov2 vented tuned to 28hz and i loved it.

2 sealed would sound nice, and get pretty loud.

I would like a new enclosure, but fitment might be an issue. The box right now barely fits into the trunk as it is. I guess I could cut the plastic behind the backseats.

what are your current box dimensions? I'm thinkin' about going 36w x 17h x 15d and i don't know if i'll be able to get it in the trunk. I'm going with the same exact set up as you except my amp is going to be a Directed D2400.

i know how you can get that in the trunk

i was thinkin' i could slide it in side ways from the back seat but i didn't know if i could get it turned once it's in the trunk. Is that how you would do it?
