Can someone help me. My Amplifier is not working it seems to go on and off. When you turn on the head unit the power light comes on then goes off. If i sit there and turn the radio on and off the Amp turn on and light goes on and off. So no matter how many times you try it, it wont stay on. Do i just need to ge another one?

Make sure your remote is connected to the remote wire on the deck (not the antenna remote), make sure subs aren't blown (could be pushing the amp into a protect mode), yes also check the ground
.
check ur ground, could be the remote wire is damaged or not properly connected. Get a meter and check the coltage of your rem wire,if its dropping below 10.5 ur amp will turn off,u can always tap into your accesory wire off your radio and run a new rem wire to amp, just make sure there no hi shine on the wire...(that means make sure its capped or taped off)
i will have to check the remote wite but the Ground is fine. The protect light just keeps comming on. So I am not sure if the bazooka is gone or not.

Protect light coming on could mean there is a problem with the wiring to the sub or with the actual sub itself
ok. I will have to check that then. Everything was working fine the one day it just was not working with out no prior problems.

Checked the remote wire and there does not seem to be anything wrong with the remote wire. Can the battery cause the AMP to go into a protect mod.

If you have a friend that has a working stereo maybe you could take amp out of you're car put it in his and if it works in his car then you know something is wrong in wiring in you're car. If amp still doesn't work in friends acr then you can just abought bet it is the amp that is bad. If you can't do above take amp to stereo shop and have it tested. I had a fosgate amp one time work that morning when i went to work and when I got back into car that evening amp would not come on. So, Put it into a car tha had a stereo that was working amp still didn't work. Sent to fosgate power supply had went out. Replaced amp. Sometimes one day they work and later on they don't. Hope this helps.
