I'm going to be picking up a 99 Z24 this week and I'm wondering where you guys have your sirius radios mounted? I have the sportster and I hate having it mounted on the windshield. I was thinking of glassing it into the center console, but I don't think there is any place unless I put it into the center console compartment, but I don't want it there either.
But anyway if you have any pics of how you have yours I'd appreciate them, but if not I'll figure something out.

You could always just get an integrated unit. My pioneer headunit has an external XM reciever that I put in the trunk with the antenna on the top of my car, no ugly boxes anywhere.

yeah same i got sirius and just yesterday for christmas i got a new deck that allows me to do the same so i think thats what i'll be doing

I have the Sony CDX 5700, has integrated XM, just need the external receiver. I doubt I'll ever get XM though, I love my iPod too much.

just got my xm yesterday havent installed it yet.. but i plan on putting it close to the plastic pillar on the drivers side..

When I had XM, I had the Roady. I found a mount that fits in the cup holder. I drilled a hole in the cup holder to run the wires under the console into the cup holder to make it all purty. Worked like a charm.
I have had mine for almost 2 years now. At first i had the old sirius docking station that they wanted you to 3m to the dash. first place was pushing that under the dash pad. liked that for a while. then i moved it over to the left side by the driver side a pillar. then i was going tou mount it like above but decided not to since i use all that space. which led me to my final place to put it... on the defroster vent. i cut out a fin and it fit right through there and was perfect. now that i have the window mount one from sirius im thinking of mounting it up above my rear view mirror. if not above the defroster vent again because i can either hide the wiring under the dash pad or the headliner.
You can put the antenna in your vent right below the window
antenna is bettter if oustide car... less dropouts
my kenwood has it integrated, i left hte tuner box under the dash pad above the center plastic vent tubes, this way it will much less likely get robbed. i was robbed once, and if my tuner was in the trunk, it woulda gotten robbed with my subs.
my antenna is on my rear decklid, right up against the windsheild which is tinted...nobody knows i have sirius till you get in the car

i might just do it tonight now that i have activation money.
Its the kit that came with the model. I just removed the center console, bolted it into place and put it back in. This model came with a home docking station so it has a quick release and comes right off, then I plug it in the house.
The mount looks something like this. It swivels in the middle for adjustment.
