hey guys, i just got one of those shiny new video ipods for christmas, i really want to be able to use it in my car,
but im sick of trying to deal with stupid fm transmitters and cassette adapters that dont work and
id rather not deal with a direct wire-to-the-antenna setup
i have a pioneer deh-2300 that i bought about 7 years ago, it does not have RCA inputs,
i bought a really nice headunit a couple years back, but it was stolen and all i have left is the faceplate and the remote
so, im looking for a relatively inexpensive (i.e. <$100 or so) head unit that has rca or other aux input or one with a
direct ipod dock connector that wont be a target for theives
what headunits would you guys recommend?
JVC KD-HDR1... closer to $200 though

if you have rca inputs on headunit just get a 3.5 to rca cable at radio shack. i think they cost 7 bucks or so for 6 feet...
and why not just by the bus cable for that unit, p3300, its the cable that converts the aux input for a disc changer into a rca input i think it cost around 25-30
drake,
i have a 2300, not 3300, and it does not have rca inputs or cd player input
but i will check out the 3300
any newer kenwood deck ( 2032 or better) and then get the aux input adapter. gonna be one of your cheapest routes
just get a deck with aux inputs and a ipod desk mount then glass that into your dash, viloa a sweet ipod plug in thing for your car, then get the RF control for your ipod and BAM its handsfree
I got some pioneer thingy that goes right to my pioneer deck, me likes

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
